We are pleased to announce the winner of the Fall 2024 Stories from Abroad: British Columbia Study Abroad Scholarship.
Congratulations to:
Nicole Provost, University of the Fraser Valley
Nicole Provost is a student at the University of the Fraser Valley and Aquila Aviation in Abbotsford. She's currently pursuing a Bachelor of Integrated Studies with a Focus on Aviation. Nicole is enrolled in UFV’s Study Abroad program, and is currently studying for the semester at the University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland. Outside of her studies, Nicole is an active advocate for the neurodivergent community. She runs her own federally-registered charity called ‘Mayday Club’ - which helps build career-skills and promotes mental health in neurodivergent youth. Nicole recently won a Governor General’s Meritorious Service Award for this charity. She also works with Indigenous youth on harm-reduction and cultural revitalization projects through VYPER: Visionary Youth Peers for Equity and Revitalisation. In her spare time, Nicole enjoys playing Dungeons and Dragons.
Nicole will receive $1,000, and they will be sharing their experiences from abroad.
