Don't miss out on this opportunity! The Department of Education of Guangdong Province, China, is offering scholarships to eligible British Columbia (B.C.) students to study abroad.

Full scholarships are offered to successful applicants to study at the undergraduate level in Guangdong, China. 

B.C. high school students graduating in 2018, high school graduates and eligible post-secondary students wishing to participate in undergraduate studies are welcome to apply.

We are pleased to announce the winners of the 2018 Stories from Abroad: British Columbia Study Abroad Scholarship! This year we have a new record number of twelve winners selected from various BC institutions. 

Each student will be receiving $1,000.

Like many student travelers, I wanted to explore Europe as much as I could while I was on exchange in Austria. Surprisingly, with some careful planning I was able to visit more than 35 cities and towns in 13 different countries in one semester without straining my budget too much. Here are a few of my suggestions that will hopefully help you to be more cost efficient:

Although many dreams are achievable, stopping time is not one of them. When I awoke this quiet morning, my heart wished that it could stay in China forever, that the summer wouldn't end and every night we could spend on the field drinking mate and dancing to Spanish music. My heart wished I didn't have to leave all these amazing people, that it didn't have to get out of bed and pack my bags.

The day was not over yet! Once dinner was finished it wasn't long before closing ceremonies started, and we would finally get to showcase our Canadian performance we had been working so hard on. We went back to our dorms and quickly got into our costumes, returning to the second floor to the auditorium. We sat in theatre seats, in our Bus groups to watch the show.

Soon it was lunchtime, and the chaos calmed down to refuel itself. At least, it was all now concentrated into the cafeteria with metal trays of rice and assorted items. And, of course, the fluffy cakes.
