Joshua Fang, Simon Fraser University, winner of the Fall 2021 BC Study Abroad: Stories from Abroad Scholarship

Joshua is business student in his fourth year at the Simon Fraser University Beedie School of Business. After completing two and a half years at another institution, Josh took a year and a half off to travel, work and enjoy life before entering into his time at SFU where he is now in his last year of studies concentrating in Finance and Management Information Systems. Throughout his university career, Josh has been privileged to intern at great organizations such as GrantBook, International Justice Mission and Accenture and will beginning his post-grad life as a Strategy Analyst at Accenture once he graduates. Outside of classes and work, Josh is quite active in the both the SFU community and outside of it by competing in case competitions, mentoring students and teaching financial literacy programs locally and internationally. Some of his hobbies include reading (currently he is reading The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry by John Mark Comer), staying active (hockey, road biking, golf, and snowboarding) and trying out the amazing food around Vancouver.
