Razma is a Linguistics student at Simon Fraser University and is currently studying abroad on exchange in Ghana. She is extremely thrilled to accept this scholarship from BCSA. As her parents are Afghan refugees, Razma has always worked hard to fund her own education through work and applying for various scholarships. She decided to apply for the exchange program to challenge herself by learning in a new environment, immersing herself in a unique culture, and building long lasting relationships from students across the world. Porsche is a twenty-six year old from Vancouver, British Columbia. She is currently studying at Kwantlen Polytechnic University where she is completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Upon graduation, Porsche plans to work as a specialized labour and delivery nurse (Perinatal Nurse). Pooja is a first-year student at the British Columbia Institute of Technology studying Human Resource Management. She recently completed her bachelor’s degree in Physiology and Neuroscience at the University of British Columbia and hopes to work in Human Resources as part of an organization dedicated to scientific advancement upon graduation. Jaimie Cryder is currently in the final year of her undergraduate degree at the University of Victoria. A love of nature and travel has inspired her to pursue a double major in Environmental Studies and Geography. Throughout her academic journey, Jaimie has developed an ardent interest in the sustainability of urban food systems. Is Greece on your bucket list for 2019? SFU's Hellenic Studies Program has partnered with Douglas College to bring a group of lucky undergraduate students to Greece for a field school in May and June 2019.
Students will spend three days in the Greek capital of Athens, home of democracy, philosophy, and theatre. Athens is home to some of the world's richest museums and is the site of the Acropolis, Parthenon, and Acropolis Museum, where ideas of democratic sovereignty, imperialism, classicism, and cultural appropriation can be fruitfully explored.

British Columbia’s Ministry of Education announced that applications are now open for the Student Exchange Mobility Awards, which provides funding for groups of 5 or more K-12 British Columbia students traveling with their teachers.
