Bob Emmanuel Mulamba, Simon Fraser University, winner of the spring 2019 BC Study Abroad Scholarship

Study Abroad Destination: Tokyo, Japan

Bob is a student from Simon Fraser University, majoring in Biomedical Physiology. This year he has received the opportunity to study abroad in Tokyo, Japan to a nationally renowned university called Waseda University. This experience will be a fresh undertaking for Bob, as he has never lived or travelled abroad alone. In hopes to becoming a more independent individual and developing a global perspective, Bob will pursue various activities that will enable him to become an engaged member of his local, academic and personal community. Bob has also expressed a desire to learn Japanese, as he began studying the language a year prior to coming to Japan. Bob is an inspired young man who believes that opportunities are made through one’s fervent efforts to seek out new experiences. Follow Bob along his journey to see where this experience takes him.
