As the representative of Canada, I have to get up an hour early to join the other representatives on our transport to Tsinghu University where opening ceremonies were being held. My first day here at the camp and already I have to leave my roommates who I just met to venture forth into my exciting duties awaiting. I put on my elaborate Canadian outfit, consisting of various Dollar store accessories and two flags stuck in my ponytail.

If you are anything like me (poor university student), budgeting is your best friend. This becomes especially important when travelling. The more places you want to see, the more things you want to experience, the better you have to be about keeping track of your money. Dreams, in the sense of the visions we have while we sleep, are wonderful things. They are curious, sometimes confusing, sometimes pleasant journeys that our brain takes while our bodies rest. Dreams are messages from the subconscious.

It only takes 0.4% to go study abroad!

The number 0.4% doesn’t sound like a lot, does it? The average life span of a Canadian is 82 years old. If you challenge yourself and choose to go study abroad for one term (approximately four months) it will only take up 0.4% of your life! In the grand scheme of things, four months isn’t a lot of time to spend on a journey that will change your life forever.
